Check out this great new page on the Jimani site where we go in to depth on how we set up and control a rotary indexer to do laser marking on a cylindrical object.

[Click here](https://www.jimani-inc.com/rotary-part-indexer-laser-marking) to see the page.

We discuss the difference between using Prolase 7 laser Marking Software to 'handshake' with a Sherline rotary controller or fully control all aspects of rotary motion using the Jimani Servo Control Electronics.  There are situations where either method is appropriate for rotary laser marking and we discuss when and why.

Below are videos showing the different methods of control.
