This application is a barcode and human readable text on 0.128” diameter stainless steel rod. The white mark is an “ablation” type mark and the black mark is a “stain” mark. The stain marked barcode has a laser engraved rectangle around it to enhance the readability of the barcode. These are only test parts. The final product will be part of a medical device system.

These parts were marked using a 50 watt [Langolier](https://www.jimani-inc.com/fiber-laser-systems/) with a 254mm lens. A 20 watt [Langolier](https://www.jimani-inc.com/fiber-laser-systems/) would probably have worked just fine for this laser marking application.
